The first president of the Czech Republic, leader of the Velvet revolution in 1989, playwright, dissident; US musician and singer. At New York Public Theatre the rock musician Lou Reed met again his friend Václav Havel who recieved the OBIE Award there. These two at first met 1990 when Lou Reed came to Czechoslovakia supposed to shoot here an interview with Václav Havel. „I was shaking of respect before I met Havel.“ he confessed, „And I was afraid that my recorder wouldn´t function as I enter his office and start the interview.“ As in the year 2005, while they both met in Prague Švanda Theatre (Švandovo divadlo), became clear – Havel was really nervous about Reed too, ashamed of communist furnitured interior of Prague Castle.
