Possessor of an independent expressive universe, beyond academicisms in handling shapes and colors, Domi —name with which she signs— reflects characteristics of naïve art in her work. Her works offer simple scenes that portray an event of a world inhabited by innocent-looking beings that seem immersed in fertile nature.
The oil on canvas acquired for the museum in 1994, entitled Esperando a papá (Waiting for Father), is a sample of the simplicity of her spontaneous work, where she deals with a subject matter relating to family and the earth’s goodness, which she depicts on a brightly colored oil painting that maintains the freshness of childhood works
