Walter, Paul & Peter Dietze

Peter Dietze, right, with brother Walter and Paul. Peter was in his 30s when he discovered he was the grandson of filmmaker Himansu Rai. He began a voyage of discovery into his family history, and now is the custodian of an archive of material about the Bombay Talkies film studio, which was founded by Himansu Rai with his wife, the actress Devika Rani. Peter's grandmother was Himansu's first wife, the German actress Maria Hainlin.
