Warwick Castle, Warwick, Warwickshire

The site of Warwick Castle was probably occupied before the Norman Conquest. Much of the surviving castle dates to the 14th century, including the Gatehouse and Barbican. Alterations were made in the 18th century and the Watergate tower was restored by A Salvin in 1861-3.
