Oxford Botanic Garden and Arboretum

Oxford Botanic Garden and Arboretum
Oxford, United Kingdom

The Water Garden is in the lowest-lying part of the Garden and the plants here thrive in the damp conditions. Sitting on the central island is the giant Gunnera manicata. These plants have been popular since their introduction to British horticulture in 1867, and they are valued for the architectural qualities of their enormous leaves.
