Original Robert Ingpen watercolour entitled 'DON BRADMAN RETIRES'. Following the 1948 tour of England, Bradman played a testimonial match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Bradman and Hassett captained the two teams of the best players in the country - and Bradman made 123, his 117th first-class century. In 1949, Bradman was knighted for his services to cricket; in 1996 he was an inaugural inductee into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame; and, in 2000 he was named as the first among Wisden's Five Cricketers of the 20th Century.
