Original Robert Ingpen watercolour depicting Australian batsman, Don Bradman taking off for a run. The image is included in a tapestry celebrating 150 years of performances and events on the MCG. In 52 Tests (1928-1948), Bradman made 6996 runs - including 29 centuries, 13 half-centuries, and a highest score of 334 - at an average of 99.94. Nine of his centuries were scored at the MCG, where he compiled 1671 runs at an average of 128.53. In 1949, Bradman was knighted for his services to cricket; in 1996 he was an inaugural inductee in the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame; and, in 2000 he was named as the first among Wisden's Five Cricketers of the 20th Century.
