Wendy Gates

Athena says: "It has been brilliant to be involved with Portraits for NHS heroes and an absolute honour to paint a portrait for Wendy, a midwife and a nurse at Airedale General Hospital, West Yorkshire. I have loved getting to know Wendy, who has worked tirelessly throughout the weeks and weekends, through all the sunshine. I hope that her portrait celebrates her warmth, bravery and dedication."
