Weston Park's second Coade stone sundial plinth as it appeared when discovered

The late eighteenth century Coade stone sundial plinth had probably been removed from the South Terrace at Weston Park in the Second World War at a time of staff shortages. Taking the feature out of the gardens would have meant that machine-mowing of the terraces could have been more easily accomplished.
