Real Fossil - Late Cretaceous 75 Mya - Morocco
This specimen was discovered in April 2004 in the phosphatic mines of Qued Zem, Morocco. It has been catalogued as the first valid plesiosaur from the Late Cretaceous deposits of Africa and is closely related to other elasmosaurids from North America and Japan.
