When a seed is not enough

Surviving is not enough, reproduction is needed! But if the available time is short, as at high altitudes… it takes to be adaptable. Some plants, as the Poa alpina (var. vivipara), to save time, make the seeds germinate when they are still in the spike. The small plants (not the seeds) - which are ready to take root and grow - are those which are transported by the wind and fall to the ground.
