Winding of the coil of the superconducting magnet for the 3.7 m European hydrogen bubble chamber

A photograph taken in October 1970 during the winding of the coil of the superconducting magnet for the 3.7 m European hydrogen bubble chamber. The coil was built up of several strips (for cooling, insulation, reinforcement and heating). One pole of the magnet was completed at the time.
