Born in Gudiyattam, Tamil Nadu, A. Selvaraj was one of the first artists to move to Cholamandal Artists Village. Recipient of the Award of Progressive Painters' Association, he had participated in many national workshops. He was a contemporary artist widely known and recognized for his paintings inspired by Indian Classical dance.
