White cotton dyed with a light blue and gray swirled design resembling the end papers in books (suminagashi). Lining: The upper 3/4 of the length of the kimono is lined in red silk plain weave. The lower 1/4 is lined with the kimono fabric. This type of lining is typical of the 1930's.
