This wooden cup is of a half-spherical shape. The exterior was chiselled into a faceted form; the middle was gouged out and has a circular mark at the centre. The cup has thin, curved walls and a recessed base. On one side, a ring is attached to the vessel using a cotter pin. A flower-shaped washer is placed between the head of the pin and the outer surface of the cup. Ring, pin and washer are made of brass. The surface has a patina.
From the rounded bottom and the ring on the side, it can be implied that this cup served as a portable drinking cup for outdoor activities or travelling. When using a cord, the bowl could be tied to a belt or travel equipment.
