Wooden spoon, made from wood of "Badah"tree. A branch is cut from the tree with an axe and shaped with an adze. The original use of this wooden spoon is exclusively for removing butter formed on milk when churned. But if a (Miko) flat spoon is not available, the handle of the wooden spoon is often used for stirring food especially Ugali, cooked from maize meal. Similarly a wooden spoon is used nowadays for all different kinds of works.
