Carving Exile. Surrounding a Place to Die Work detail

When did we start working on exile? Does exile exist in a visit? Over the years, questions about displacement began to occupy more space in our dialogues, and that is not coincidental. We live in the Andean Region (Patagonia), a chain of valleys that has provided shelter to people for thousands of years. In a contracting world, the feeling of risk becomes increasingly close, and the idea of not being able to think takes up more space in our bodies. Running in search of a safe place is the little we can envision. However, those images become confusing, as the places where we would not be seen are the sites of new extractivism; luck does not smile upon us. Exile is running to the border of death. Exile is an inevitable end, sooner or later we must depart. While we wait for that moment, we will be together with others, carving banishment, seeking shapes among the falling dust.
