Workers' houses near the Steinwald in Neunkirchen

The construction of settlements for miners in Neunkirchen advanced at a rapid pace. After the "Rote-Kreuz-Siedlung" had been established near the Steinwald in the 1930s, the residential area was continuously expanded by additional private homes for the miners. In 1952, a part of the settlement made up of standardized plots is still undergoing construction.
