Scale model of the Free French submarine France. Has a green hull and blue and white trim and sits on a wood base. Set of four torpedoes mounted below the submarine on the case base. Interior of case also has a metal and wood plaque, which reads, "Presented to President Franklin D. Roosevelt by General Charles DeGaulle July 9, 1944." Model is able to dive, fire guns, and launch torpedoes. Can be operated in water. Made by a French Petty Officer while in Bizerte, Tunisia (North Africa) under German occupation.
