Wounded Healer

"Wounded Healer" portrait by Edi Matsumoto of a friend who is a psychologist. She is a Holocaust survivor who fled her home country of Austria under the Nazi occupation as a young girl. She and her family spent several years in Shanghai before they finally came to the United States to find peace. She received her psychologist degree in her fifties and has been serving the underserved and underinsured people in the area. Her own hardship in her life turned into deep care and compassion for others.
