Wreck on Madbrain Sands, Minehead, Somerset

This wreck of this wooden sailing vessel on Madbrain Sands, off Warren Point, Minehead dates to the late 18th to early 19th centuries. It is possibly the remains of the ship 'Bristol Packet', which was lost in 1808. The timbers have been revealed due to sand erosion following storms. This monument is scheduled under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979.
