  • Story: Constructed in 1914 by Charles Weeghman to house his short-lived Federal League team, the Chicago Federals. The stadium was purchased by a consortium of owners for the Chicago Cubs of the National League, who remain its current occupants, in 1916. Known as Weeghman Park 1914 to 1916; Cubs Park 1920 to 1925; and Wrigley Field 1926 to the present.
