This project aims to create a unique, urban space where the brave soldiers who served, fought, and died in America's forgotten war can be honored and remembered.
The simple architectural concept of a plane stretching the entire length of the park aims to spark the curiosity of passersby, and invites them to explore the space. When approaching the memorial from the north, visitors will encounter a reflecting pond that serves as the centerpiece of the park. A statue of General Pershing rises through a square opening in the plane, drawing attention to the pivotal figures of World War I.
