In many of his works Dele Jegede seeks to address the social and political issues that plagues his society. This work, speaks volume of the political and social unrest that was prevailent in the numerous military regimes that came up after Nigeria's independence in 1960, These military regimes were characterized by several military takeovers and social and political instabilities. These instabilities caused a lot to those in government and civilians alike, there were loss of lives and properties in such regimes. The seemingly chaotic use of the colors red, blue, yellow and touches of black does justice to his narration.
