This scene of" solicitation " does not seem to be connected to any specific novella Of The 'Decameron' by Giovanni Boccaccio. it may perhaps want to represent carnal love, the central theme of the book and as such constitutes a kind of ideal title page to the other illustrations of the ten days performed by Lebis (as indeed seems to confirm the inscription on the recto). This drawing fits into the typical figurative tradition of Germanic area.
