The various ornaments are carved in the round in the shape of fruits, animals, and other forms. These charms express abundance, many sons, wealth, long life, health, and other blessings. The craftsmen used the varied natural colors of agate to enhance the beauty of the piece, realistically portraying the ripeness of the pomegranates and the feathers of the ducks.
