A five-volume work by A. J. Krocker, physician and botanist, dean of the Collegium Medicum et Sanitatis in Wrocław, entitled “Flora Silesiaca...” was published by the Korn printing house between 1787 and 1823. The first three volumes contain descriptions of over 1400 plants, arranged according to the system by the Swedish naturalist and physician Karl Linnaeus. The fourth volume presented here contains hand-coloured copper engravings depicting medicinal plants from Silesia. The volume with the engravings appeared in two parts. The first contains 52 and the second 44 copperplates.
