‘De Seny’ campaign

The interest of the Menorca Handicraft Centre is that the consumer acquires a differentiated product that is 100% local and that conveys an authentic image of the island. The 'De Seny' campaign was born as a way of opening up new horizons for the craft sector. In its first edition (2019), artisans are invited to create products based on three thematic axes, which in turn converge: Menorca Biosphere Reserve, Menorca Talayotic and Menorca Artesana. For the second edition, it has been considered interesting to link De Seny to Menorca European Region of Gastronomy 2022. In this way, the theme of the pieces will be limited to a single concept, such as gastronomy, but it will continue to cover an infinite number of creative possibilities and will be internationalised with the European competition (European Food Gift Challenge). The purpose of the local competition is to select the products that will represent the island in the European competition, which in fact already form part of the De Seny catalogue and are sold in the Artisan Centre shop. In 2020, two of the products representing Menorca were awarded prizes by the international jury. The third edition will continue along the same lines, and for the fourth edition (2022) there is the added incentive that Menorca will be the headquarters of the European competition. De Seny has managed to equip the Centre Artesanal shop with a distinguished and unique line that not only works as a tourist resource, but is also an excellent option as an institutional gift.
