‘Saipem 7000’

The crane island Saipem 7000, a so-called Semisubmersible crane and pipelaying (J-lay) DP vessel. The painting shows the vessel from below (from the water) with some of the lifeboats, lying in the harbor of Rotterdam (which cannot be seen otherwise). The work gives an impression of the crane island, without representing it completely truthfully.
