This tree trunk was covered in a multitude of coloured yarn and is a display of the art form, ‘yarn-bombing.’ ‘Yarn-bombing’ is an evolving form of street art and can sometimes be used as a means of non-aggressive protest. At the forefront of this photo different coloured patches have been stitched together to create on large piece. Seen in the background is another display of ‘yarn-bombing’ that has incorporated many shapes and patterns. The knitted trees help to bring attention to the Zonta Vision event at Blacktown City Centre. The Zonta Vision advocates for women’s empowerment.
