A project developed during the 2014 edition of the Invisible Borders // Trans-African Photography project. Teresa describes realising that beds operate as multifunctional furniture in the Sudan. They are placed both indoors and outdoors, to sleep and sit on, and can be found with and without mattresses. This prompted the photographer to begin a survey and documentary project, that probed deeper notions such as nomadism, rituals and belonging
