The premiere of “The Dead Class” took place at Krzysztofory Gallery in Krakow on 15th November 1975. The date belongs among the most significant ones in the history of theater. Rehearsals began at Krzysztofory Gallery in December 1974. In less than a year, the first version of the performance which was to become Tadeusz Kantor’s most famous work for theatre took shape.
