At“The Final Stage of Tadeusz Kantor’s Multipart” exhibition, only some of the works were displayed after one-year-long participation of purchasers. Some had been destroyed or sold, some collectors failed to reply to the request for the works they owned to be exhibited again. The dominant form of expression of participants turned out to be collage-like application of notes or all sorts of objects to white canvas. A group of students from the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology purchased a painting to carry it as a banner during the May Day march in 1970 and then bury it ceremoniously not far from the Foksal Gallery in Warsaw – in the gardens of the Zamoyski Palace.
