Weighing 607g, this slender willow-leaf-shaped knife has a sharp blade with a tip that slightly tilts upwards, forming a flowing curvy line. It is equipped with a removable oval cross-guard, which serves as the divider between the blade and the hilt so as to protect the hand holding the knife. This knife of the Liao and Jin dynasties (916-1368 AD) established by nomads from the far north of China bears distinct features of these nomadic people who lived by fishing or hunting. With a curved blade that broadens towards the tip, the center of mass of this knife shifts outwards, which helps to cause mass casualty by allowing the holder to made optimal use of the forces generated by motions while fighting on horseback.
