The Statue of poet Du Fu

The Statue of poet Du Fu (诗人杜甫胸像) was created in 1963 by Liu Kaiqu, who was invited to design the poet’s statue for Du Fu's Thatched Cottage in Chengdu. This work is a sample sculpture by Liu. The figure is slim and full of determination, reflecting the twists and turns of the poet’s life, as well as his patriotism and uprightness.
