Spruce

Wood from coniferous trees of the genus Picea, which is often used for carving or furniture construction; however as the word ‘spruce’ derives from the word ‘Prussia’ it may also be used to describe furniture (especially chests and coffers) which may be made of spruce but are more commonly made of oak or cypress.
