Artist In Residence at the Lab, Christine Sugrue, was interested in how AI tools might be used to create playful explorations of artworks through unconventional perspectives or imaginative viewpoints. Mice In The Museum sees two curious mice, August and Pearl, scurry through museums across the world and discuss artworks that capture their attention.

The experiment uses Gemini - Google’s Multimodel Large Language Model - to analyze the artwork's image and metadata. Gemini generates a script based on this analysis, which is then converted into audio in real-time by a Google AI Audio model.
