Contemporary artist and designer Yinka Ilori collaborated with Google Arts & Culture Lab to create Dreaming with Flamingos, his first digital interactive artwork.The artist's Nigerian heritage, rich in folklore and vibrant traditions, fuels his artistic vision and with Google’s advanced AI tools, he wanted to bring this to life in a whole new way — merging ancient wisdom with modern technology.

In Dreaming with Flamingos, the user plays as a young flamingo tasked to restore a park’s lost song and help the elder flamingos remember their lost wisdom — the life force that once fueled this musical playground — by solving riddles within the game. Each solved riddle reveals a dynamic generative soundtrack, inspired by West African instruments and generated by Google AI Music Generator, Lyria . The reward at the end of each level is two unique digital artworks inspired by two of the artist's most loved Nigerian parables and co-created with Google technology.
