This is the first flight photo of a jet powered version of the Air Force Chase XC-123, troop and cargo carrying transport which is powered by four GE J-47 turbojets engines. Designated the XC-123A, the plane first flew April 21 at the Mercer County Airport, W. Trenton, NJ. Rated at 5,200 pounds of thrust each, the four J-47 turbojets provide 20,800 pound of thrust of driving force for the XC-123A
