A leading figure in marine archeology, the Association pour le Développement et la Recherche en Archéologie Maritime (Association for Development and Research in Maritime Archeology – ADRAMAR) is a non-profit organization, founded in 1993 by underwater archeologists, university academics, and volunteers. In collaboration with DRASSM (Department of Sub-Aquatic and Marine Archeological Research, of the Ministry of Culture), and with the support of regional communities, its goals focus on studying, protecting and showcasing underwater archeological sites. Based in Brittany, ADRAMAR works on coasts around France and overseas, depending on where the projects are located.
The ADRAMAR association would like to thank everyone who supports these projects, with particular thanks to the Brittany Region, the departmental council of Ille et Vilaine, the city of Saint-Malo and DRASSM (Department of Sub-Aquatic and Marine Archeological Research, of the Ministry of Culture) for their financial support.
