Central Goldfields Art Gallery in Maryborough, Victoria is owned and managed by the Central Goldfields Shire Council. It is situated on the traditional lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung and offers respect to Elders, past, present and emerging. Situated in an historic fire station built in 1861, this unique building has housed the Central Goldfields Art Gallery since its official opening in 1996. The Gallery features a diverse program of regularly changing exhibitions, showcasing art from the permanent collection, exhibitions by artists living in the region and touring exhibitions. The permanent collection is based around works of art that relate to the Central Goldfields region from landscapes to textile art.
