Galleria d'Arte Moderna Paolo e Adele Giannoni

The Giannoni Gallery, located in Novara's historic center, houses a rich collection of modern art, primarily from the prestigious donation of approximately 900 works by Alfredo Giannoni. The current exhibition features 158 pieces, including 43 paintings from the Cassietti bequest, showcasing late 19th and early 20th-century Italian painting. Giannoni's collection, heavily influenced by naturalistic and symbolist movements with some divisionist examples, is so comprehensive that it effectively summarizes the evolution of Italian painting during that period, reflecting his friendship and collaboration with artists like Plinio Nomellini and Cesare Vinzio.
