Made in Cloister Foundation is a project started in 2011 with the restoration of the cloister of the Santa Caterina a Formiello’s church in Naples, where the historic centre, under Unesco protection since 1995, is full of craftmen’s ancient traditions.
The cloister represents the perfect mix between Renaissance architecture and 19th Century industrial archaeology.
The vision of the Made in Cloister’s project is based on three guide lines:
- To restore and convert the local artistic and architectural heritage with a place branding approach.
- To revive ancient crafts and salvage tradition, updating it with a contemporary spirit.
- The conviction that art, culture and creativity can trigger a positive process of development in that part of city.
