Marsi Foundation was established on 26th March 2009 by Marsi’s cousins in cooperation with her close friends, to fulfil the wishes of Marsi by establishing a foundation to support art education in Thailand and to help animals in need, since animals have been the inspiration in many of her paintings.
The Foundation has organised three painting exhibitions in Thailand. In 2010, “MARSI” exhibition was organised at Siam Paragon, while the “L’art de Marsi” exhibition in Bangkok in 2013 was held at the Queen’s Gallery to celebrate the auspicious occasion of the 80th Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. Highlights of the latter exhibition are H.M. Queen’s private collection of Marsi’s paintings, granted permission to be displayed, special activities included a Seminar and a Workshop on Paintings Restoration for young generation and interested visitors. The latest exhibition "Beauty and Ugliness: aesthetic of Marsi" was organised in 2018 at the National Gallery, displayed a collection of her paintings, drawings, belongings, books and private films.
Past activities of the Foundation include publishing a catalogue of Marsi’s paintings, granting Marsi scholarships for university art students since 2011, and support of art exhibitions by students and young artists in various art galleries. In future, the Foundation plans to establish a permanent gallery in Thailand to display the collection of paintings of Princess Marsi, to further encourage art appreciation and education.
