The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI) was founded in 1654, to regulate the medical profession in Ireland. Today we are a postgraduate medical training college dedicated to ensuring that doctors have the skills to provide patients with the best possible care.
Based in our iconic home at 6 Kildare Street, RCPI's Heritage Centre cares for our unique collection of historic books, manuscripts, portrait, medical instruments and other items, covering over 350 years of Irish medical history.
