The Chauá Society (Sociedade Chauá) is a nongovernmental organization founded in 2003, our mission is to Promote flora and natural ecosystems conservation.
We aim to be a reference institution in nature conservation by integrating scientific research, training, development, and implementation of conservation strategies.
The major part of the institution's work consists of establishing and implementing projects for saving threatened plant species, mainly in the Araucaria Forest (an important and reduced ecosystem in the Brazilian Atlantic Rain Forest).
Since 2003, the Chauá Society has been developing management plans for protected areas, diverse research on flora, and public awareness about the importance of native ecosystems conservation.
