Education is the heartbeat of Terra Kulture

Welcome to Terra Kulture which is a hub for performances, art and much more. It is a destination of choice for excursions of students and foreign groups visiting Lagos. They learn different arts and crafts including 'tie-and-dye', batik, basket weaving, cookery and traditional drumming and dancing. They can also learn the three major Nigerian languages: Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba.

The language school
The Terra Kulture Language School has served as a conduit for bridging the gap between the technical know how and essentials skills necessary for functioning in todays society. Terra Kulture tries to empower children through handicrafts and knowledge of culture and their own heritage.

Terra Kulture also collaborates with writers and facilitates workshops on creative writing.

Cooking lessons play a significant part of the language school. Children learn the importance of food served in communities. Food is part of our culture and identity.

Children learn how to make some of Nigeria's most iconic dishes including moi moi, a delicious bean pudding.

Mrs Laide teaches kids how to make a non-alcoholic cocktail drink.

Ms. Motunrayo teaches the children the art of 'tie and dye' which is a century old craft. The children tie knots on a white piece of cloth and will then dye the fabric. The knots will not absorb the dye and it creates a beautiful pattern.

Children also study how Nigerian artists creatively are expressing themselves through paintings and sculptures. Terra Kulture's art collection serves as inspiration. Use the arrows to move around.
