What is the "hottest" contemporary theme nowadays?

After the pandemic, it’s true that people have become much more sensitive to the environmental changes. We are all facing the disastrous climate crisis caused by pollution of our environment. I believe it is time to focus on the issues of how to create relations through art.

How artistic practice can actively influence these issues?

Art has always voiced its agenda from its progressive status at times of change in thoughts and ideologies. It is not easy for art to contribute in changing systems in a direct way. However, I believe art has the power to move people’s hearts and that is the social role of art.

How was it to confront with other artists in Hot Spot?

I felt respect and deep solidarity toward their ideas and philosophy of action. They express their unique characters through diverse methods but their inner world has a common ground of profound thought and interest on humanity and nature.

What do you think is the main visitors' feeling in Hot Spot?

We all know that nobody can avoid the devastation of global warming caused by pollution. I am sure the viewers would be able to sympathize with what this exhibition wanted to talk about. Artistic language expressed in various methods resonates with people’s hearts.

Choose a claim for an aesthetic activism manifesto

Contemporary art has infiltrated the society while constantly dealing with various issues of life. As such, I study the issues of pollution in our society or world environment, of human egoism through the discourses expressed via my art works.
