On May 7, 2016, the OcupAÇÃO project brought together 190 artists to celebrate the start of building works for the Planaltina Cultural Complex.

The Planaltina Cultural Complex is a victory that has been years in the making for the residents of the Federal District's oldest administrative region. It's envisaged that the finished building will house a 340-seat indoor theater, an open-air theater, multi-use rooms, and a gallery for art exhibitions.
