Brazil are World Cup winners for the fourth time!
Brazil’s captain, Dunga, lifts the trophy to mark Brazil’s fourth World Cup title in the US.
This was the first time in history that any team had won four World Cups, ending a 24-year period for Brazil without world soccer's biggest trophy.

Brazil started their World Cup journey at the Stanford Stadium in Palo Alto (California) on June 20, 1994, with a 2-0 win over Russia.

In the round of 16, Brazil beat the US 1-0, thanks to a goal from Bebeto in the second half.
Brazil lost their midfielder Leonardo, who was sent off for elbowing the US’s Tab Ramos in the nose in the closing minutes of the first half.

In their quarterfinal match against the Netherlands, Brazil’s first two goals came from Romário and Bebeto before a goal from a free kick by the debutant left-winger Branco made the final score 3-2 and edged Brazil closer to the World Cup final.

Final: Brazil v Italy
